Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

I am a happy girl who loves to meet new people! I am learning that if I don't jump up on them, I get lots of love (and treats!) I stick close to my human mom - whether we are watching tv together or snuggling in her bed. I'll bark to let you know if someone is outside, but may lick them to death if they come in!

General Socialization Notes:

I am energetic but equally happy being a couch potato. I am intelligent and happy to learn new things!

Does Abby like other dogs?

While I have not lived with other dogs, I do go to doggy day care and do well with the dogs there. Sometimes I bark at other dogs, especially if I am on leash, so I would need to meet a potential canine sibling before I decide if I like them.

Does Abby like children?

I love to play fetch and get belly rubs from smaller humans! I would probably do best with kiddos 8 and up, who have experience with dogs.

Favorite toys?

My little squeaky kitty, Mr. Rooster, and a farting sheep. I guess you can say I like farm animals! Also, balls are great for playing with my humans.

Ideal forever home?

My ideal forever home would be with a family who loves to hike or walk, play fetch, and who will teach me new things! It wouldn't hurt if I was allowed to sleep in bed with someone, either. I would probably not do well in an apartment/condo/townhouse, but rather a house with a yard and people who will love me as much as I will love them.
