Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

I am a shy and fearful girl at first, but I warm up if I can go at my own pace. I seem to take a bit longer to warm up to men. But once I warm up, I love attention and belly rubs! Ear scratches win me over too. Once I feel safe, I love to be near my humans. I enjoy taking walks and runs. I'd do best as an only dog and in a home with children 13 years old and up.

General Socialization Notes:

I am a shy, fearful girl but will warm up with patience. I am potty trained and crate trained. I am a quiet girl, I have yet to bark at my foster's home. I will sit for treats and am a very smart girl! I do jump up when I get excited but I'm working on that in my foster home. I walk well on leash.

Does Rue like other pets?

I'd do best in a home as an only dog. I do like to chase squirrels and rabbits, so I think a home without cats may be best.

Does Rue like children?

I'd do best in a home with older children, 13 years old and up.

Favorite Toys:

I like balls. I like when you throw the ball, but I am still working on bringing it back.

Ideal Forever Home:

I'd prefer a very calm household. I'd need a family that is patient and willing to help me build my confidence. I'd really like a backyard because I love running around my foster's yard. I am a gentle girl with lots of love to give. I'd do best in a home with older children, 13 years old and up and a home as an only dog.
