Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

I am extremely friendly and such a happy girl! I love meeting new people. I love laying in my human's lap and getting all the attention. Being close to my human means a lot to me. Walks are my favorite part of the day and I love running around outside, especially in the snow. I've done really well with other dogs my size in my foster homes. I'm still learning my manners and I do pull on leash, but I'm working on that. I'd do best in a home with no small dogs or cats. Older children, 8 years and older, would be best. A 6 ft, secure fence is a must!

General Socialization Notes:

I am great with people! I love getting attention. I get very excited when I see dogs while I'm out on a walk. I look forward to continuing to train with my human, so I can work on that. I've lived with other dogs close to my size and have done well.

Does Amari like other pets?

I get extremely excited on leash when I see other dogs. It is hard to control my excitement. I might be a bit pushy. Once I get to know a dog friend with proper introductions, I do well. No small dogs or cats please.

Does Amari like children?

I may do best with older children, 8 years old and older.

Favorite Toys:

Ropes and bones are my favorite! I love burying my bones too.

Ideal Forever Home:

I would love to be in a home where I can take frequent walks and play in a nice backyard. I wouldn't do well in an apartment. I love being outdoors! I'd enjoy humans who can give me lots of attention. Training will be very important for me. I sometimes do not like being alone, but I am doing okay with that. I'd do fine with children, 8 years old and older. I'd do great with another social dog close to my size or I'd also be fine as an only dog.
