Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

Thank you to Canine Campus for sponsoring Guthrie, bringing down his adoption fee to just $100! I'm a sweet, active boy! I am very exciteable, and love meeting new people. I can be mouthy and I'm learning to be gentle. I love to play and I'm still working on my manners but I really love to learn new things, especially with food involved. I enjoy playing with other dogs, but I am still learning my manners. For now I need to be the only dog in my home. Because I'm going to need a lot of attention, and consistency in training, I'd do best in a home with older children, 13 years old and older.

General Socialization Notes:

I am a little unsure when meeting new people, but I will warm up quickly. I do need to continue working on my manners. I can be a little mouthy when I get excited. I have a lot of love to give!

Does Guthrie like other pets?

I get along with other dogs and love to play. I do resource guard toys and food, so I'd need to work on that. I'm not too sure of cats because I haven't met any.

Does Guthrie like children?

I'd do best in a home with no small children. Children 13 years old and older would be best for me.

Favorite Toys:

I love bones and really any toy!

Ideal Forever Home:

I'd love an active family. I have lots of energy so I'd enjoy a big backyard where I can run and play. I'd do best in a home with children 13 years old and older. I would do well with another dog as long as there's management and training with my resource guarding. I love to hike and spend time outdoors.
