ABRT is excited to be hosting another set of barn hunt workshops, taught by our very own Judy Katz, as well as John Fisher of Dog Sports America!


Saturday November 17, we will be holding a 3 hour Introduction to Barn Hunt workshop, a 2 hour Intermediate/Advanced Workshop, and a two hour Tunnels workshop, with privates interspersed throughout.


All workshops and privates are on a first come first serve basis.

30 minute Private Lessons between and after the workshops. Private lessons will be available from:

11:00 am - 11:30 am (in the CLC)

***** Introduction to Barn Hunt *****

Time: 8am - 11am


Working Spots (with dog)

Limited to 15 spots

This Introduction to Barn Hunt workshop is for dogs who are new to the sport, working on getting their RATI, or wanting to hone the basics.


Prerequisites: NONE


Age Requirement: 20 weeks or older


***** Intermediate / Advanced Barn Hunt Workshop *****

Time: 12:30pm - 2:30pm


Working spots (with dogs)

$50
Limited to 5 spots


Audit spots (without dogs)

$25
Unlimited Registration


This Intermediate / Advanced Barn Hunt Workshop is for more experienced dogs who are looking to better their A-game! While there are no requirements for BHA titles, a good working knowledge of the sport and a pup who knows rats will help you get the most out of this workshop.


Prerequisites: Novice title recommended, or good working knowledge and skill set in the sport.


Age Requirement: 20 weeks or older


***** Tunnels Workshop *****

Time: 2:30 - 4:30

Limited to 5 spots


Audit Spots (without dogs)

$25
Unlimited Registration


The tunnels workshop will focus on (surprisingly enough) tunnels! Your pup can find every rat in the world, but if they can’t tunnel they can’t title! Here we will work on tunnels with 1, 2, 3, and 4 turns. Working spot dogs should already know rats, and have a good drive.


Prerequisites: Good drive recommended


Age Requirement: 20 weeks or older


***** Private Lessons - 30 min *****

11:00 am - 11:30 am (in the CLC)
11:30 am - 12:00 pm (in the CLC)
4:30 pm - 5:00 pm (in TRW)


$50 for 30 min


These 30 minute long private sessions will be headed by Judy Katz of ABRT and co-presenter John Fisher of Dog Sports America. Anything that you want to work on is fair game! Speed, tunnels, drive, indication, or anything else!


PLEASE NOTE! 30 minute sessions can be split between multiple dogs, per the discretion of the person who books the time slot.
