Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

Hi, I'm Ollie! I am a happy and playful boy at home, don't let my shy outer shell fool you! Another dog is a must, ideally similar in size. This helps my confidence. I love to play whether it be with my doggie foster bros or foster humans, entertaining myself with a chew toy, or chasing my tail. I LOVE to run and I'm FAST. I am shy, fearful, and nervous in new situations, new people and loud noises. To get to know you, I need more than just one in person introduction. It will take some time, but once I get to know you I am very snuggly and will enjoy squeezing myself right next to you, even if it's a tight fit. I'm a good kisser too, and love to show my affection this way. I do better with women, so ideally my home is a single woman or women to shower me in affection. It takes me a lot longer to warm up to men, but I am food motivated so snacks can help with that for visitors. I might hide with my person, or under a chair. I develop a very strong bond with my human, and I can be protective with strangers or when being introduced to a new dog. Please be patient with me! I'd do best in a home without small children 13 years and younger. I am a shy boy looking to open up to the right home!

General Socialization Notes:

I am unsure in new situations and can be quite fearful when meeting new people. I will react by either retreating or by being very vocal. I do ok on a leash, but can be reactive. I am working on building my confidence. If I feel safe and have the opportunity, I love to run like the wind so having a yard would be a plus.

Does Ollie like other pets?

I get along with my foster bros, (one of them is bossy - but whatever dude). I love to wrestle, play tug and 'keep away' with the bossy dogs favorite ball. I run faster than him so bonus - I get to be chased too. I'd do best with another dog to help build my confidence. I do resource guard a bit, but it's manageable. I'm not too sure about cats.

Does Ollie like children?

I'd do best in a home without small children. No children or children 13 years and older might be best.

Favorite Toys:

Tug Toys, chews, balls and anything that I can chase or anything that I can chew.

Ideal Forever Home:

I'd love an active home. I have a lot of energy and need to burn it off, so a yard where I can run would be great!! Another dog in the home for me to play with would be a plus and would help build my confidence. I am a snuggler so someone to share some snacks and a movie in the evenings would be fun too. I am shy so I would like someone who is patient enough to work with me on that. A home with children 13 years and older would be best for me.
