Help Scrappy Find His Forever Home

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue, donations are what help keep us afloat and allow us to save at-risk dogs in the Pikes Peak Region that other shelters and rescues don't have the skillsets or resources to assist

As a foster-based rescue, none of our adoptable dogs live at our facility.

In order to start the introduction and adoption process, please visit our Adopt page to learn more.

ABRT Therapy Dog Troupe is officially recognized by the American Kennel Club

Please contact us if you would like to schedule a visit from our wonderful teams!

We train dogs for life.

Our 98% adoption success rate proves that our positive reinforcement- and relationship-based training works—and that with love and support, every dog can be a “nice” dog. Whether you adopt from us or already have a dog, our on-site, certified trainers can help you strengthen your bond even more.

Our Mission

  • To foster and place adoptable companion dogs into permanent homes.
  • To increase adoptions of shelter dogs by promoting awareness of and cooperation with area shelters.
  • To educate the community to be responsible dog owners.
