Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.
Please note, if you are unable to see the pictures of our dogs, your browser may not be up to date.
I'm a conflicted, ACTIVE, little guy that has a tendency to bark first and make friends later. Once I get to know you, I love to snuggle and get scratches, and just want to be with my humans as much as possible…even if that means I'm constantly under foot! I get along well with other dogs and like to run and play with them, however, I don't like to share my stuff with some dogs and will even try to take “their&&&&&” stuff (this has gotten me into a few minor scraps with some of my foster siblings). I lived with children in my previous home, and reportedly was just fine with them.
Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - with White
Age: 19 months
My potty training is going fine, but just to make sure, it would be wise to go outside with me…I sometimes get distracted and forget to go! Don't plan on leaving me in the yard by myself for long, as I will bark my fool head off. My favorite behavior is jumping up…my foster mom is pretty sure there is a spring in my butt, because sitting is a skill I have yet to master. I'm not a super fan of being caught...sometimes I will submissively pee, if I'm caught or handled too rough. I currently sleep in a crate at night and spend the day in a taller x-pen (remember my favorite behavior…jumping?) while my foster mom is at work ( I get a potty break half way through the work day).
I love all stuffed toys and unlike most dogs, I don't usually destroy them, but rather collect them. I LOVE project toys that dispense food (Kongs, Bob a Lot, etc)…they give my brain a great workout trying to get the food. I also really like cow hooves and antlers to chew on…bully sticks are ok to, but not my favorite.
I would LOVE home with a yard to run and play in and a new family that will love me forever and help me become more confident with people.
