Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

I am extremely gentle and sweet. My favorite things to do are to cuddle with my person, play with stuffed squeaky toys, or ride with my head out of the car on the way to the dog park. I am also house-trained and love to be around other people (especially if they give me cheese). It may take me some time to get used to my new home, but once I build that special bond with you, you'll wish you had adopted me sooner!

General Socialization notes:

I am initially a bit shy, but once you get to know me I am extremely playful and silly! I love to be with my person, so sometimes I stress out when they leave. I like to have something to keep me distracted while my fosters are gone. I need a patient family who will help me to learn that they are going to come back home to me. It is best if I have fellow dogs to keep me company, since I do not like to be alone. My foster mom is helping me get used to being without my person, and I have come such long way!

Does Lana like other pets?

I love to play with other dogs! I can not live in a home with cats.

Does Lana like children?

I have not actually met any children, but because I can be nervous, I would probably do best in a home with teenagers or no children.

Favorite toys?

Stuffies and squeakies! I also LOVE to play fetch.

Ideal forever home?

My ideal family would be an active one. I have a lot of energy to burn and would love a canine brother or sister to romp with! My family will need to be patient as I learn to trust that they will not leave me. Someone who is retired or works from home would be awesome! I love to learn and I am eager to please my humans, so continuing my training will go a long way toward helping me succeed.
