Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

I'm a sweet, shy boy who is learning that the world is not such a scary place. I'm making friends with the dogs in my foster home and I'm learning how to play and socialize. I love toys and love to hoard them all! I got my name, Zoomie, because I love to zoom around my house and yard. I'd do best in a home without small children, children over 12 would be best for me.

GENERAL SOCIALIZATION NOTES:

I am very sweet and very curious. I am shy and need time to warm up to people, at first. I need lots of chew toys because I love to chew, sometimes I chew things I'm not supposed to. I walk really well on leash and am still a little afraid of things I'm not sure of outside but I'm learning to be brave.

DOES ZOOMIE LIKE OTHER PETS:

Yes, I do. I really like the dogs in my home but am still learning how to socialize with them.

DOES ZOOMIE LIKE CHILDREN:

The ones I see out on walks do worry me. I'd do best in a home without small children, just older children please.

FAVORITE TOYS:

I love all toys!! I love to collect them and pile them behind my foster Mom's recliner.

IDEAL FOREVER HOME:

I need humans who will have a lot of patience with me. I need to learn that the world isn't that scary. I'm still working on potty training too. I am smart and would love to bond with my family through training. I'd also like a home with another dog because a dog friend helps me to feel safe. No small children, please.
