Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

I love to be the center of attention. I am very loyal to my favorite human. I'm a quick learner too, especially when there's treats involved. I love playing fetch and I love my toys. I'd do best as an only dog and in a home with older children. I also seem to feel more comfortable with women than with men.

General Socialization Notes:

I will need time to adjust to my new surroundings and my people. Once I get familiar with my new family, I'm a fun dog to be around. I do best when I'm the only dog. I really don't like loud noises. With proper training though, I could learn to be more comfortable. I seem to do better with women than men.

Does Nugget like other pets?

I can tolerate being around one other dog, but I prefer to be the center of your world, so a home as an only dog would be best. I'm not a big fan of small rodents or chickens.

Does Nugget like children?

I'd do best around older children and adults. No small children, please.

Favorite Toys:

BALLS! I love playing fetch! Playing tug is equally fun too. If you give me a toy that has a squeaker inside... I'm going to get that noise maker out, by all means possible!

Ideal Forever Home:

I would LOVE to be in a single or two person home and if there are children, I'd prefer older children. I'd love a yard and someone to take me on daily walks. I need someone who's willing to be patient with me as I need time to adjust to my new home. I'd do best an an only dog.
