Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

Thank you to Canine Campus for sponsoring Magnolia, bringing down her adoption fee to just $100! I'm a happy-go-lucky girl! I might be the smartest dog you meet, and I have so much love to give. I have been through a lot, so please help me feel happy and safe, and get to know me! Because I still need training, I'd do best as the only dog in a home with no cats, no younger children - 13 years old and older, please. I am also sensitive when a harness is being wrapped around me, we are working on this in small increments so it is not so scary. I am doing really well with this! If I get uncomfortable, you may notice my body language change, and if my boundaries are still crossed I may 'mouth' you to show that I don't like that. My new home will be a patient and kind single person or couple, ideally experienced and comfortable with giving me stability and training I need. I can't wait to meet you, and become the best dog I can be!

General Socialization Notes:

I am a sweet girl and I love people! I am reactive on leash to other dogs. It is very scary to me, and I would need to continue working on that with my new humans. I can also be a bit mouthy. I'm working on my impulse control, but I am eager to please!

Does Nola like other pets?

I'd do fine with a social dog in the home, my size or larger. I'm 45 lbs. A home without cats or small dogs would be best for me.

Does Nola like children?

I'd do best in a home with older children, 13 years old and older. No small children.

Favorite Toys:

I love to chew so I love chew toys! Bones are my favorite.

Ideal Forever Home:

I'd need a family that has the time to train and work with me. I need structures and boundaries and help with reactivity on leash. I'm a really good girl with lots of potential. I'd love a big backyard to run and play in. I don't think I'd do well in an apartment. I'd do best with a dog my size or as an only dog. Older children would be best for me, 13 years old and older. No cats or small dogs, please.
