Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

I am a very sweet and playful girl! I love to be near my people and I'm welcoming to guests after some sniffing and initial hesitation. I do warm up with treats, as I am very food motivated! I LOVE cuddling and being pet, and really crave attention. I am working on not barking for my attention. I enjoy laying at my human's feet, and feel happiest by your side! I am reactive and uncomfortable with new dogs, so I would probably do best as an only dog. I have met cats before and I am not fond of them either. I do jump up on people and I can be mouthy, but I'm working on that. I am a bit too excitable for younger kids, so I'd do best in a home with older children, 12 years old and older. I will need a backyard in my home, so no apartments please!

General Socialization Notes:

I can be very enthusiastic, jumpy, and mouthy but I love spending time with people. I do need to work on my leash manners. I go into my crate willingly but I don't really like when the door is shut and I am alone. I will eventually calm down though. I'd probably do best as an only dog.

Does Elphaba like other pets?

I am selective with my dog friends and may do best as an only dog. However, I am not particularly reactive to dogs either. I am not too sure about cats because I haven't met any.

Does Elphaba like children?

I am unsure about children but because I am so bouncy, older children may be best. I'd prefer children 12 years old and older.

Favorite Toys:

I love my knobby textured ball and a bone to chew. I am a power chewer and a toy destroyer!

Ideal Forever Home:

I would do well in a home with a family that is home often. I love my humans and love to spend time with them. I'd love a backyard to play in! I'd also love a family committed to working with me and my leash manners. I'd do best as an only dog so I can be the center of attention. A home with children 12 years old and older would be best.
