Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

I'm a bit of a shy guy, but I love my people so much once I get to know them! I get scared when new people come to my house, but I warm up quickly if they sit on the floor and let me sniff. I get zoomies often and love to be goofy.

General Socialization Notes:

I take a little time to warm up to new people, but then I'm goofy and playful! I like to snuggle up close and spend time with my family. I am still learning about potty training and using a leash and collar.

Does Hermes like other pets?

I like to play with other dogs that aren't too big for me. I'm not sure how I feel about cats because I've never met one before.

Does Hermes like children?

I am pretty nervous when meeting new people, but I think I would enjoy children who could give me some extra time to warm up and be comfortable with them.

Favorite toys:

I like squeaky toys and playing with tennis balls.

Ideal forever home:

I get lonely if I am left by myself for too long. I would really enjoy a home where I was able to be with someone most of the day, or if that person could help me work on my separation anxiety. I would love a home with a fenced yard so I could run around as much as I want. I'm still working on my potty training as well and need continued training in that area.
