Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

I'm a handsome little senior boy who is a bit shy at first, but once I trust you, I won't want to leave your side. I have a lot to say and though I'm not really loud, an apartment might not be the best place for me. When someone tries to pick me up, I am nervous and will hit the floor, but once I'm up, I like to be held, cuddled and have my belly rubbed.

General Socialization Notes:

I am potty trained, but I do have a tendency to mark, so I usually wear a belly band while in the house. My hair is a bit on the shorter side right now, but because I am a long hair ChiChi, I will need to have fairly regular grooming, to help me keep up my handsome appearance. I like to go for walks and I behave like any dignified elder-gentleman should. I don't seem to know anything cool like sit or lie down, but who cares at this age anyway…I certainly don't! Did I mention I like snacks…haven't met one yet that I didn't like and it kind of shows on my waist.

Does Pico like other animals?

I'm fine with other dogs, and will even play with dogs my size/age. Other dogs will need to be respectful of my small size and age. I have lived with cats and am generally fine, but I will talk to them and sometimes chase them..it's all in fun though, I'm not trying to hurt them.

Does Pico like children?

Because of my small size and age, I would probably do best with children 12 years old and older.

Favorite Toys:

I don't play with toys, but I still like to chew on bully sticks and cow hooves.

Ideal Forever Home:

I'm searching for a home to live out my Golden Years, with someone who doesn't mind hearing my conversations and who will love me unconditionally and give me belly rubs.
